The Big Sigh for the Butt Skirt
No new posts in two months? Please know, dear readers, that we are in dialog with you via the rip roar of the knitting machine. Know that during December, we are clad in green and red felt, with bells on our pointy slippers. But, alas! It is now January. This is 2010, the year we will finally make available the ever-so wonderful BUTTSKIRT. Formally titled the COREWARMER. this is a cashmere skirt made to fit over your pants, under your shirt. It is highly sexy because it accentuates your assets. It is also extremely functional because your organs stay warm. I have had mine for 5 years now and I figure it is time to share the goods. In Taos, they are available at Wild-Life. Abroad, out there in the real, non-skiing world, they are available by phone. Surely they will be featured in next year's catalog along with our sweater and a bunch of new surprises..... Ill see what sort of photos I can muster to attach here.

Powder Day
I am not sure if it is good etiquette to announce that while you New Yorkers are keeping this Motor Running, I am cordially introducing the second of two powder days this ski season.
Further, I was also just on the phone with my mother who said, "Enough about your Noodle Knees, Get on that Blog and Blog, Darnedit!"
In the gale of powder and winter's mist were Skier Green and Skier Red. They were two Golightly Gaiter Geeks crusted in snow. They had warm breath and invigorated smiles. Upon mention of their cashmere phenomena, I said, thank you, "I am glad to be of service this powder day."
Meanwhile, back at Golightly headquarters, our shipper was happily sending stacks and stacks of warm cozies to happy heads the world over.
An all-around Good Day.

Seriously Superior
This year we are advertising the SUPERIOR SOCKS. I shall wax positively on these morsels. These socks are hand-loomed of our finest 6ply cashmere. You simply wont find another pair of this quality anywhere. They wont get holes in the toes and heels because they are re-inforced with lycra. They are thick and super warm. I am wearing some right this moment and I'll tell you something, they make my coffee taste better. Try 'em, I promise you'll LOVE them.

It is both pathetic and realistic that a Golightly blog hasn't been posted to this very worthwhile Bloggie Blog since November of '08. May I excuse Me. I am short-handed (Why did God stop at just two hands? Why not four?). It is busy here. For those of you reading this blog, Golightly Cashmere is operated from the Padre Martinez House on Padre Martinez Lane in Taos, New Mexico. We are just about 100 feet west of the Plaza in an historic and sprawling Hacienda. I am Haleigh. I live here and work here with my four-year-old son, Rohnin. The door to Golightly headquarters is frequented by a daily influx of Golightly contributors. In come: Michael, Tara, Ariel, Heidi, Anne, Lindsy, David, Luka, Eli, Canyon, Beth. We are knitters, designers, accountants, and kids. It is an excellent team of people.
It is approaching March. Compartively, We are mildly busy and we really wish the snow would keep falling. We are spoiled here, you must know, by one of the Worlds Greatest Ski Valley's. It is simply a Very Special mountain. I am attaching some pictures of the Hacienda and our Golightly Team for your personal curiousity and enjoyment. I hope to stay current with our Golightly doings (a new catalog was just uploaded , let us know if we can send you one!)

Giving Thanks

Announcing an official Thanksgiving snowfall in Northern New Mexico. I am feeling thanks for the quiet energy and happy mood it brings. The properties of snow are simply joyous. Tonight's good grace is light and fluffy with big, dry flakes. And not so cold. There were seven of us at today's Thanksgiving. A rotisserie turkey and lots of laughter. A good time was had by all.
